FSC 22 is a water soluble embedding compound used in frozen sectioning. The compound bonds and encapsulates tissue specimens to the object holder for cryosectioning. It provides excellent sectioning consistency with minimal curling of sections at a working temperature of -20 °C. FSC 22 is available in clear or in light blue for better visualization of small specimens. It is highly recommended for surgical pathology laboratories.

Vector Laboratories VectaCell™ Trolox Antifade Reagent for Live Cell Imaging, 2 ml
Specialty Products. VectaCell Trolox Antifade Reagent for Live Cell Imaging is a stock solution of the antioxidant Trolox (6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid) in filtered ethanol. Trolox is a water-soluble and cell-permeable analog of vitamin E that efficiently prevents formation of reactive oxygen species such as singlet oxygen (1O2), superoxide anion (O2-) or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). These can lead to photo-bleaching as well as oxidative damage in cells. While reducing the light intensity usually decreases fading, it also reduces the assay sensitivity. This product contains both Trolox and its oxidized form Trolox-quinone. Trolox has been shown to have a cytoprotective effect and low cytotoxicity for different cell lines and this redox system has been shown to reduce photo-bleaching and blinking during live cell imaging.

Lanthanum Hexaboride is the optimum cathode material for use in SEM, TEM, X-Ray Microanalysis, and Electron Beam Lithography and is a direct replacement for tungsten filaments. It features low potential barrier (work function), high melting point and stability at high temperatures, a low vapor pressure that reduces evaporation lost, and chemical stability. The LaB6 beam is ten times brighter than tungsten, has superior resolution and can be used in a wide range of accelerating voltages. It provides sharp and clear pictures even to the smallest details. Heat and vacuum are the determinants of cathode tip's life, but at 1550 °C and 10-7 Torr, a service life of about 500 hours can be achieved.
